  7.     As kids in New Jersey, the sisters sang together during
  8. trips in the family car. Now thirty something and nicely
  9. incorporated as the ROCHES, they still get ideas from one
  10. another. A hot conversation between Terre, right, and Maggie,
  11. center, about "antisex backlash in the '80s" wound up in their
  12. new album Speak. Suzzy jotted down the words ("If you are a
  13. sexist pig/ then I have got to dislike you/ for the rest of my
  14. life"), and all three wrote the music. There are two rules for
  15. close harmony. Says Terre: "We eat right and get enough sleep."
